Under Therese’s teachings, guidance and mentorship through The Chalice of Repose Project’s Music-thanatology post-graduate program, I was cracked wide open - heart, mind and soul, waking up and deepening what was already present in some ways and stretching me and opening me to oh so much more - The depth, breadth and substance of the formation and studies have played a pivotal role in my personal and professional development well beyond knowledge and skills. Therese’s teachings, writings, wisdom, experience, example, and ongoing mentorship and friendship, and my work in Music-thanatology continue to stretch me and invite me into living more fully.

With these gifts and my personal drive, need, and desire to explore and learn more and continue to grow and serve, I was drawn to additional yet related studies outside of Music-thanatology . . . Those and my experience of individual sessions with sound practitioners and group sound baths, initially for my own growth and well-being, led me further. Family and friends began asking me to share the gifts of my experiences and learning . . .

And Rx Sound Journeys came into being.

While different from Music-thanatology, in focus, instruments used, setting and delivery of care, Prescriptive Music (a term coined by Therese) and many of Music-thanatology’s foundational principles bring Life and Substance to Rx Sound Journeys
